Introducing Nerf AccuStrike – Get Ready to Battle with Accuracy
Last week our son celebrated yet another birthday (can’t believe how quickly 5 years fly by) and this Hasbro drop arrived adding to the festive vibe our son was on. It didn’t take long and he was exploring the Nerf AccuStrike, part of the Nerf blaster range. Aiming and shooting at anything and everything in the garden. A brief chat from dads about what he can aim and shoot at and our son was mastering the Nerf blaster. Even hubby asked for a turn using the blaster. He loves that it assists with our son’s grip, accuracy, focus and teaches our son to relax.
“The Nerf … helps improve our son’s accuracy focus … totally educational” – DadD
For anyone not in the know, it’s Nerf or Nothin! With an impressive range of Nerf blasters, which fire soft foam darts, Nerf has a blaster solution to suit each fan. Mastering the ‘art of Nerf’ takes time and patience and a lot of practice to become a true Nerf Blaster Master. Nerf fans can now strike with even greater confidence and skill with the introduction of the Nerf AccuStrike Series, featuring darts redesigned for greater accuracy.
The new AccuStrike darts have corkscrew rifling in the rubber tip, which adds spin to the darts, allowing them to ‘fly’ in a straighter pattern, hitting the mark with a greater degree of precision.
The Nerf N-Strike Elite RaptorStrike blaster is part of the AccuStrike Series. The bolt-action blaster comes complete with two six-dart clips and 18 darts to keep battlers stocked for their Nerf battles. Use the bipod to stabilise shots; the legs extend to adjust the height. The blaster also has a pop-up sight for targeting.
Kids can also customise their blaster for any mission with the fully motorised Nerf Regulator blaster. Featuring SwitchFire Technology, fans can choose any one of three firing modes. Flip the switch to choose between single-fire, burst-fire or continuous-fire. Load Nerf darts into both 12-dart clips, and power up the motor by holding down the acceleration button, to watch the darts fly. The indicator light blinks to let battlers know the clip is empty. Customise the blaster with the swivel handle to stabilise shots and the two barrel-scopes that can be used as barrel extensions or targeting scopes. Expand the customising options with Nerf Modulus accessories and upgrade kits to create over 1 000 different combinations (each sold separately).
Nerf Blaster Master training tip – follow www.nerfblastermasters.co.za for all the info on how to ‘up your blaster game’:
- Train in your aim
Get to know your Nerf blaster. Understanding the direction it pulls to and whether it arches higher up or down will fine tune your aiming skills, enabling you to unleash a storm of darts at your target.
- Challenge yourself
It’s all about quick-draw fast firing! Time trials are a great way to determine how quickly you can load, fire and reload your Nerf blaster.
- Train
Create your own (non-human) targets and practice aiming and accuracy every day.
- Get moving
Practice your aim, stealth, sniping and shooting while running and try to hit the Nerf targets on the move.
- Stealth
Learn to move quickly on your feet, loosen up your body with a few stretching exercises before setting out on your mission. It’s all about speed, accuracy and power.
