Journey Beyond – Symphonic Circus’ modern take on circus performances will feature the young members from Zip Zap Circus performing their gravity-defying and magical acts with the support of the Johannesburg Youth Orchestra. Both organisations give youth from different heritages in South Africa the opportunity to develop careers in performing arts. Following performances on international stages, it’s now time for Johannesburg residents to enjoy their world-class performances.

Join the young performers and musicians from Zip Zap Circus and the Johannesburg Youth Orchestra, on a journey through time with their incredible circus feats performed to loved classical pieces. It is impossible to fully grasp the beauty of this magical show until you see it for yourself. Acts to look forward to include trapeze displays, aerial performers, acrobats, dancers, contortionists, balancers and jugglers all choreographed to the symphony of a full orchestra. Journey Beyond – Symphonic Circus, connects young South Africans and provides them with life-changing opportunities that would not Journey_Beyond_2019_ + Zip Zap Circushave otherwise been available to them. This combination of heritages is particularly fitting since the show takes place during South Africa’s Heritage Month.

The Symphonic Circus is set to captivate and thrill the audiences. Expect to be blown away by the harmonies of the Johannesburg Youth Orchestra and solo performances from Zolani Mahola (Freshly Ground), Zita Pretorius and Timothy Moloi.
