Ingredients
- 250 ml Cake Flour
- 10 ml Baking Powder
- 40 ml Butter or Margarine
- 1 Egg
- 100 ml Milk
- 150 ml Grated Cheddar Cheese
Instructions
- Set the oven temp to 190°C
- Sift the flour and baking powder into the large mixing bowl
- Rub the butter/margarine into the flour
- Use the whisk to beat the egg and milk together in a small bowl
- Pour the egg mixture onto the flour mixture
- Spread the grated cheese over the mixture and mix well - don't mix too long
- Use two teaspoons to drop a little dough into the small muffin cups baking tray
- Bake for 10 minutes
- Lift scones from baking tray and serve while still hot
