Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Full Cream
  • 3 Tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 Whole Onion
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Garlic to taste
  • Fresh Pasta made by Philips Pasta Maker
  • 1 Tin Mussels I used a small box of fresh Mussels
  • 1 Packet Biltong Powder I used sliced biltong
  • 2 Whole Chillis Optional
  • Pinch Salt
  • Bunch Sliced Parsley

Philips Pasta Maker

  • 1 Cup General All Purpose Flour Use the Philips Pasta Maker measuring cup
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cup Water Use the Philips Pasta Maker measuring cup

Instructions

  1. Make a batch of fresh pasta using the Philips Pasta Maker

Add the Flour to the Philips Pasta Maker

Mix the Water and Egg in the Cup

    Start the Pasta Maker

Add the water & egg mix to the flour

Let the Philips Pasta Maker do the rest

Cook the pasta as soon as it's ready, then set aside

Biltong and Mussel Pasta Sauce

  1. In a separate pan, heat the Coconut Oil

    Add the Onion and Sautee

    Add the Garlic until tender

If you're using tin Mussels, drain it and add it to the Onion & Garlic mix, sautee the mix a little more

Add Salt to taste (remember the Biltong is already salty)

Add some of the Biltong to the mix (optional)

Add Full Cream and bring it all to a boil

Remove from heat and add it to the ready to eat homemade pasta

Plate the Pasta, Biltong and Mussel

Add sliced Biltong or Biltong powder to the Pasta

Add finely chopped Parsley as the garnish

This Fresh Pasta IS HEAVEN ON A PLATE!

Recipe Notes

It's a really delicious Pasta dish. Easy to make which is something that really works for me. Although I enjoying cooking, I don't enjoy spending endless time in the kitchen.

The chilli is my idea and just adds a little bite to the dish.

Suggestion, you can add some biltong powder to the sauce and finish off the plate with sliced biltong and parsley before you serve. YUM!
