Freaking Easy Fudge
Recipe originally share by Megan from #mommalikeme
Ingredients
- 125 g Margarine Butter can also be used
- 1 Tin Condensed Milk
- 2 Cups White Sugar Original recipe asks for Castor Sugar
- 5 ml Vanilla Essence
- 3 ml White Vinegar
- 100 g Chocolate M&Ms Optional
Instructions
-
In a big glass bowl, melt the margarine in the microwave on high for 1 minute, until melted
-
Add Condensed Milk and Sugar to the melted margarine, microwave on high for 1 minute
-
Mix together, scraping any sugar off the sides and microwave for 10 – 12 minutes on high – do not stir during this time
-
Remove the mixture from the microwave when it starts to turn brown and add in the vanilla and vinegar, stirring until slightly cool
-
OPTIONAL - Add 75g of the M&M’s, keep a few aside to put on top before resting the fudge mix, and gently mix in the rest
-
Pour the fudge into a small prepared baking tin – either slightly greased or lined with baking paper,
Add in the remaining M&M’s, pressing them gently into the top of the fudge and allow to cool
-
Once cooled, dip a large non-serrated knife into hot water, dry, then slice the fudge into small squares (the warm knife cuts through the set fudge like butter).
-
Store in an airtight container until you’re ready to package it up to gift
